October Schedule, Fall Happenings & Things to Do Around Town

8 min read

October feels like fall has officially arrived. The air is cooler, the leaves are changing, the days are getting shorter and suddenly there are approximately 400 things happening every weekend! It’s one of my favorite times of year to get outside, explore somewhere new and enjoy everything the season brings.

This month’s list has plenty of fall festivities and Halloween fun, along with art, music, nature, wellness, vintage finds, local markets and a few wonderfully weird experiences.

October is also Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and you’ll find several events throughout the guide supporting Main St. and the local breast cancer community. It’s a good reminder that getting out and connecting with our community can be about more than just finding something fun to do.

As always, I’ve gathered the local events and experiences that caught my eye. I hope you find something that inspires you to get outside, explore, connect and enjoy the season.
